Editorial Policy

Our editorial aim is to help a reader make a specific residential hot-water decision. A useful page should explain the choice, its constraints, and the next practical step. It should not make an unsupported recommendation simply to fill a keyword category.

Evidence and source selection

Technical explanations use primary material where available: equipment manuals, manufacturer technical documents, government guidance, certification information, and program administrators’ rules. Links let readers review the basis for claims. A general manufacturer article carries different weight from the installation instructions for an exact model.

Incentive claims include a verification date and remain subject to the administrator’s current requirements. Archived tax-year information is distinguished from availability for a new project. We do not treat an old article as proof that an incentive still exists.

Recommendations and original preparation

System-selection guidance compares use cases and constraints. Brand pages do not claim laboratory testing or rank universal winners. Published warranty terms, local service availability, and the exact proposed model matter more than an unsourced reputation score.

AI tools assist with drafting and implementation. The site does not claim that every article has been reviewed by a licensed plumber or tax professional. Source review and software checks do not amount to on-site diagnosis or professional certification. Material errors should be corrected in the relevant article and any shared data that caused them.

Costs and calculators

Planning allowances are labeled as editorial assumptions. They are not advertised offers or measured local market averages. The methodology distinguishes physical calculations from household-demand heuristics and uncertain price allowances.

We publish limitations beside the tools, use input validation, and avoid automatically subtracting incentives that have not been confirmed for the project. A precise-looking result must not imply greater confidence than the inputs support.

Commercial transparency

This version does not contain paid rankings, affiliate purchase links, or an active installer lead form. Any future commercial arrangement should be disclosed near the relevant recommendation or action. A commercial relationship must not be presented as independent product evidence.

Corrections and updates

A correction should identify the page, disputed statement, authoritative source, and relevant date or model. The contact page explains what information to prepare and the current contact-channel status. Safety-sensitive claims, expired incentives, and incorrect formulas deserve priority.

Content dates indicate the latest documented source review for this build. They do not guarantee that a program administrator, manufacturer, or local authority has made no subsequent change.
